issued by the Director General of Foreign subject to the criterion being met.
One is then issued a unique 10-digit code or an export importlicense, the key as we stated earlier. An individual can legally own only 1
import export licence for only 1 IEC is issued against a PAN no. This licence
has no expiry hence is valid for a lifetime. Once an individual / business
